Regarding a post revolving around social media about bhaskara discovering gravity

I believe we should always try to appreciate the efforts put up by ancient people who tried to understand the nature and symmetry of the universe. It's because of their efforts only that we have advanced this much today. Had there been no foundation made by Aristotle, Ptolemy, Copernicus, Kepler, Galileo then it might have been difficult for Newton to discover gravitation.

The work done by Bhaskaracharya was absolutely brilliant. He was a great scholar. The astronomical calculations done by him like calculating the diameter of the earth, the moon, the mars and few other planets are almost accurate in comparison with the modern calculations. And regarding gravitation, he might have discovered or predicted but was not able to explain that it was due to the mass.   (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surya_Siddhanta)

If the ancient theory is not relevant to the modern times then we can take it as a subject in History and can even do research on such things.

Gravity is a force which was discovered not invented. It might have happened that hundreds of people in the past have discovered it but couldn't explain it much. But it was Newton who discovered and explained nicely that it was due to the mass of Earth. Surely Sir Issac Newton was a genius!!
